Ptah was an Egyptian god of great importance, considered a creator god who existed before all things and who “set all the gods in their places and gave all things the breath of life” (Ancient Egypt Online) Known as a god of wisdom and of creation, he was connected with craftsmen, architects, sculptors, painters.

He was generally depicted wearing a divine beard, and holding a scepter that combined "three powerful symbols of ancient Egyptian religion: was scepter, ankh (sign of life) and the djed pillar. These three combined symbols indicate the three creative powers of the god: power (was), life (ankh) and stability (djed)." (Wikipedia)
