What you can do in this unit
- This is an optional assignment that you can do. It is also part of my HIS 242 course. Read Lawrence Scott Sheets, 8 Pieces of Empire: A 20-Year Journey through the Soviet Collapse and submit the one-page assignment paper for a maximum of 100 points.
- Please read about a former student's experiences in the counter-cultural revolution in the 1960s in the United States, including some comments about life on a commune. I couldn't figure out where to put this in the course. So I opted for the personal choice section.
- Check out this timeline of terrorist incidents in the world since 1970, created by Logan Jones, fall 2020.
