Hundreds of men and some women from Slatington, PA, fought in the Great War. How did World War I (WW1) affect those men, women and the town?

Overview

To get some idea of the impact of the war on Slatington, I stated by creating a database of the men and women who participated in the war. Any man who filled out a draft registration card, or who had enlisted or been drafted, or who had a pension request or a veteran's service card that mentioned Slatington was part of that database. This gave me information on almost six hundred men and women.
