For this digital research project, you have two options, either a topic associated with the General Crisis of the seventeenth century or the Paris Peace Conference after World War I. On the General Crisis page, you will find a list of possible individuals or events to research. For the Paris Peace conference, you will find a list of diplomats who attended the conference--There are many others--and who can be researched. There are also some territorial disputes that can be researched.
For the research project, you will be expected to use.
- web resources, starting with Wikipedia and Encyclopedia Britannica (Here is information on how to access Britannica.)
- other available web resources
- materials that you can find in the online library databases. If you are working on a Paris Peace Conference topic, then you will want to look at the historical newspapers database online. If you ware working on a General Crisis topic, then you will want to be looking for scholarly articles in the databases, for example in Project Muse.
- For the Paris Peace Conference, you will also be able to find important books, such as those by Robert Lansing or Charles Thompson.
