Timeline of Slatington History

The barricades placed at the bridge crossing Trout Creek, on Railroad Street, are for the safety of pedestrians and motorists. The bridge is condemned and persons removing said barricades will be punished. The law provides a severe jail penalty for such offenses.

Another Bridge Has Been Closed

The closing of the small bridge crossing Trout creek on Railroad St., isolates the southern part of the town as far as traffic is concerned. The closing of this bridge together with the closing of the Walnut street bridge several months ago forces traffic to go to u[er Slatington to get to lower Slatington.
